Presentation on board and
inflight catering
Our guide
Deutsche
Polarflug
has engaged an English-speaking guide for this flight who has
lived on the Spitsbergen for a number of years and will share his knowledge
of the polar region with you. He will tell you in detail about landmarks and
other highlights en route, such as the different landscapes, glaciers, ice
formations as well as settlements and research stations that we fly over. He
will also give you an insight into the history of the region.

Catering
We do care
for your well being on board and the inflight catering
is an
important part here. We will offer two full meals with an arctic touch. In
between we will offer snacks to you and of course a free beverage service
including bar service throughout the flight.
And of
course, we celebrate our arrival “at” the North Pole with complimentary
champagne.
Films &
Music
On
our way to the most northerly point on earth we will show you a film about
Spitsbergen, settlements there as well as the work of the polar scientists
up there, giving you an impression of what to expect once we get there. A
second film about the discovery of the North Pole will complement this.
Furthermore, we have compiled a special programme of classical and
instrumental music from the North to spice up the beautiful views on the
way.
